Usage & Billing

How the balance works

• New, verified accounts receive a $5 non-withdrawable welcome balance automatically — enough to try the API without adding a payment method.
• When you recharge, funds are added via Dodo Payments in one of four preset tiers — $10, $25, $50, or $100 — or a custom amount, with a $10 minimum per recharge.
• Your account can hold both bonus balance (welcome credit, promotions) and cash balance (recharges). When a request is billed, bonus balance is spent first, before any cash balance — so promotional credit doesn't sit unused while your recharged funds get drawn down.
• Bonus balance is non-withdrawable; cash balance you've added via recharge is yours.

What gets billed

Only a successful result is billed. If a request is rejected before processing (invalid input, insufficient balance, bad auth) or fails due to an infrastructure problem on APIonWeb's side, you are not charged — see Errors and Responses for how failures are reported.

If your balance can't cover a request's price, the request is rejected up front with 402 insufficient_balance rather than being attempted and billed partially.

Virtual Try-On pricing

These are the current default prices per category, configurable by APIonWeb — treat them as indicative and always check cost in each response for the actual amount charged.

Recharging

Recharge from Dashboard → Balance . Choose $10, $25, $50, $100, or enter a custom amount ($10 minimum), and complete payment through Dodo Payments. Funds are added to your cash balance as soon as payment is confirmed.
